Travels & Adventures

By a raging Himalayan river.

On the way to Alaska

First look at a glacier!

Trip to Farallon Islands and a failed video making experience.

First time ever driving on snow and ice. The impossible Dalton Road!! In October!!!

Hiking up the Himalayas. This narrow stretch had a line of nervous loaded ponies coming down as I went up the slippery slushy parasite infested trail. Scary!

Rafting 3-4 class rapids with guide and friends down a Himalayan river.

Valley of Flowers Himalayas 4500 mts. Surrounded by Shivling & Swargrohini, each 7000+ mts & Juandhar glacier

Riding an open convertible for the first time with daughter Aruna! Kansas.

Jumping into a Himalayan river with dear brother Marthand.

A Himalayan trek. Learning never to wet your porous shoes when trekking long distances.

In awe and wonder!

Being a Mum

Mum, Dad & Aruna Aunty

My lovely mum with the camera. She loved devices and electronics. And when computers came, she took to them like fish to water.

This is one of my favorite mum's pic. Clicked and colored with special brushes by dad.

Dad by the lighthouse. Flamboyant! Again colored by him.

Mum by the sea. Another of my favorite photos. Dad painted wih brush and some strange paper paint.. and cotton. I would love watching him paint photos.

Mum, I and Aruna aunty. One of the most lovely human beings I know. Like a sister. Lost her soon after. Named my daughter Aruna - first rays of the sun. And that gate I would sit on and wonder and dream of the earth and the stars.

My mum stitched our clothes. Self taught, and a master of the craft. Fond memories of her Singer sewing machine going like a train.

The little one is me glaring at the priest. An early non-believer / agnostic in the making.

Dad. Captain. Opening batsman, Wicket keeper.

And later team manager. And after that umpire. Illustrious.

Dad and I. I am him. He is I.

My lovely mum. The most beautiful, forthright, positive energy in our lives.
